On August 9th, our full-time staff kept up with the yearly tradition of performing for the students and the institute. A spectacular evening unfolded as a variety of artists put their best foot forward to bring to the audiences a medley repertoire drawing from both Indian and Western musical traditions.

Whether it was piano recitals of classical pieces from composers of the Romantic period, original musical storytelling based on Dutch painter Vincent Van Gogh’s art, arias from one of Mozart’s most famous operas, The Marriage of Figaro, ghazals, Sufi music, renditions of the raagbehaag on the violin, or some mesmerising mridangam that reminded one of the rain, stormy clouds and rainbows, the members of the full time teaching staff left audiences speechless as the latter were reminded of their expertise and prowess in an exquisite range of artistic and creative excellence.
