Online Certificate in Composition

  • The Online Certificate in Composition is a structured, practice-led programme designed for aspiring composers who wish to develop strong technical foundations and creative confidence in a flexible online format. Delivered through 18 hours of live instruction, the programme focuses on core compositional tools such as improvisation as a method for composition, thematic development, basic analysis, instrumentation concepts, and notation practices.
  • Through guided studio-style sessions, students work critically on their own musical ideas while gaining insight into compositional thinking across genres. Emphasis is placed on clarity of musical expression, structure, and translating creative ideas into finished compositions.
  • The programme is open to students who have completed 10th Standard or above, with no audition required, making it accessible to beginners and early-stage composers.
