What previous experience is required to apply?
For the Preparatory Program, all that is required is a genuine interest in music.
For the diploma Program, it is necessary to submit an application and present an audition.
What does audition & interview process involve?
In the audition process, you must perform two pieces of your choice, which demonstrate a variety of style and ability. If you have a live accompanist or accompaniment CD you are required to bring them. Following the audition, there will be a short interview.
How do I apply and schedule an audition?
If you are interested in applying and setting up an audition, please fill out the online enquiry on the registration page. Once your enquiry has been received, the relevant details will be mailed to you.
What is the cost of the Prospectus?
The cost of the Prospectus is Rs.1,100, which must be paid as a Demand Draft favoring KM Music Conservatory, payable in Chennai.
Where are the auditions held?
All Auditions will be held at the KM Music Conservatory in Chennai. For international students, mailed in auditions, consisting of unedited DVD, will be accepted.
Do I need my own instrument?
Yes. Students are required to have their own instrument upon starting the program. |
